Total Recreation, buys &sells used and reconditioned Ski-Doo and Yamaha snowmobile parts to the public and dealers all over Canada and the United States. Total Recreation buys damaged snowmobiles (sleds), removes all the good parts and sells them for a fraction of the cost of buying new. They are best described as snowmobile salvage or snowmobile wreckers. They wanted to increase their sales in used snowmobile parts.

SEO Challenge:

The main goal here is to build targeted traffic for Used Snowmobile (or Sled) Parts.

SEO Services and Strategies:

First, we defined our goals based on the business scope. We worked together with the client to find the best keyword phrases according to the client’s business and target market.

We did the site review to identify some SEO-related deficiencies with the Total Recreation site. With the client’s approval, we optimized the website by focusing the content to the targeted keywords, such as “used snowmobile parts” and “snowmobile salvage” as their main business. We kept the content looks professional without messing up the client’s existing marketing strategies.

Then, we began our monthly optimization of the site including regular content update and link building campaign to help Total Recreation gradually improve their web rankings and drive more traffic to their website, and their business.

SEO Outcomes:

Traffic January 2010 (1,220 visits) vs. December 2010 (2,686 visits) increased 120.16%. Overall unique visitors for the site went up 145%! The traffic is rapidly increasing. Their link popularity or the total number of links or “votes” that the Search Engines found for their website is now 65 (*Dec 2010 data), which shows the improvement in the website’s online awareness and visibility.

Until Dec 2010, Search Engines traffic has been dominating the traffic sources (80.53% of total traffic).

  • Google (organic search): increased +112.47% (from 786 to 1,670 visits)
  • Bing (organic search): increased +380% (from 45 to 216 visits)
  • Yahoo (organic search): increased +379.55% (from 44 to 211 visits)
